A Breguet Type XX three-register chronograph with original radium dial and hands represents a highly significant acquisition for collectors of historic military chronographs. Three-subdial examples are considerably rarer than their two-register counterparts, while original radium dials have become exceedingly scarce on the market. Accompanied by official Breguet archives, preserved with its original dial, and maintaining its historically correct configuration, this example fully embodies the legacy of the Type XX: pilot heritage, authentic period patina, military technicality, and enduring mid-century charm. An exceptional collector’s timepiece, increasingly difficult to source and highly coveted by discerning enthusiasts.

The stainless steel case is preserved in very fine condition, displaying the straight, bevelled lugs characteristic of period Type XX chronographs. The overall geometry retains strong visual presence, with clean edges and robust structural definition. The rotating graduated bezel shows harmonious ageing consistent with long-term use. The chronograph pushers remain fully operational, and the watch retains its period-correct crown. Altogether, the case presents a coherent and authentic assembly, embodying the historical character of a true military chronograph.

Exceptional original black radium dial, configured with three sub-registers, an extremely sought-after layout among collectors. The hour markers and printed scales remain perfectly legible, exhibiting deep and even patination typical of period radium applications. The subsidiary registers are well balanced, and the original radium hands remain perfectly matched to the dial in tone and ageing.

Mechanical chronograph movement Valjoux 225, featuring a column wheel construction and fully consistent with Type XX specifications of the period. The movement is clean, well-preserved, and fully operational. The flyback function is present, in accordance with the original military configuration of the model. A reliable and carefully maintained calibre, representing the technical standards of mid-20th century military and aeronautical chronograph engineering.
