Monte Carlo, Monaco (January 26th, 2021) — Promising to be exceptional in all ways possible, the auction was under spotlight in the watchmaking world. Indeed, rare fact in this global and unprecedented time, Antiquorum managed to hold a public auction at the stunning Hôtel de Paris in Monaco last Sunday, January 24th, 2021.
An encounter that collectors did not miss in the sublime ballroom but also online for those who couldn’t attend.

The Antiquorum experts also find interesting to underline the growing interest in modern luxury sports watches becoming a strong trend for future collectors in the last five years, such as Patek Philippe Nautilus (LOT 282) and Audemars Piguet Royal Oak (LOT 54, 213 & 285).
Nevertheless, the appeal for classical Grand Complication timepieces remains as demonstrated by F.P Journe (LOT 301 & 302) or Patek Phllippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph (LOT 145).
Finally, vintage timepieces market demand is stronger than ever, for instance Longines LOT 176, Cartier Santos LOT 115, Memovox Polaris LOT 74 and Rolex Chronographe LOT 75 drove a lot of interest.
